| The Simple Savings Chart is an easy way to compare motor purchase options. Enter hours of operation and cost of electricity in the spreadsheet and it provides a side-by-side comparison of annual energy costs and annual energy savings for pre-EPAct 1992, EPAct 1992 and NEMA Premium® motors for a sample 1800rpm motor. | New Federal Partnership to Help Small- and Mid-Sized Plants | ||||
The U.S. DOE Industrial Technology Program Industrial Assessment Centers (IACs) are collaborating with the National Institute for Science and Technology's (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) to offer expanded services to improve the energy efficiency, environmental performance, and global competitiveness of small- and mid-sized industrial plants. Through this new partnership, IACs and MEPs will provide technical support including plant assessments, tools and information, and training opportunities.
